Missions:

We believe that the command by Jesus Christ to evangelize the lost extends to all the people of the world. Giving to missions is a source of blessing and joy for Bethel, so in obedience to this, we support the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ through eight missionaries who minister all over the world. We send monthly support to these eight missionaries to help them in their ministry and take part in the evangelizing of the lost to Christ. Our missionary family at Bethel can be found in Africa, Israel, Canada, and the United States. We also support and attend a Bible camping ministry near Pinedale, Wyoming called Red Cliff Bible Camp.

Prayer:

Prayer is the helpless plea for the power of God to work in our behalf and for His glory. We endeavor to be a praying church. Christ commanded us to pray and we therefore strive to bring our concerns both corporate and personal to God as He delights in the prayers of His people. Prayer is a necessary privilege which is an integral part of each of our services as we acknowledge God and seek His help and guidance in our daily lives. A midweek service is offered in which we gather together to put a special emphasis on praying together as part of the body of Christ. Prayer is the lifeblood of our personal and corporate union with Christ.

Preaching and Teaching:

God has revealed His mind and will to us through the inspired Scriptures. The Word of God is the supernatural power through which God works in the lives of all who hear and receive it. Paul makes it clear to the young pastor Timothy that the preaching and teaching ministry of the pastor within the church he shepherds is the power of God that brings both salvation and spiritual growth to the believer in Christ. For this reason the preaching and teaching of the Word of God is the centerpiece of the spiritual ministry of Bethel Baptist Church. Each formal service, and many informal services, will have the careful study, instruction, and application of the Word of God to our lives as its central focus.

Helps:

As part of the body of Christ we look for opportunities to be of service and help one another when needs arise. Whether bringing a meal during a difficult time, giving a love gift to one in need, praying together, or helping one another with even the smallest tasks, it is a ministry not just to our fellow man but to Jesus Christ as well. Jesus said that even a cup of cold water given in His name will not go unrewarded.

Service:

As the ultimate servant Jesus Christ washed the feet of His disciples, and the book of Philippians tells us He came ultimately as the Servant of God giving His entire life up in obedience that led Him to the cross as our sin substitute.  Likewise, Christ taught that we are to be servants.  He taught we each had been given gifts to use to serve His people in the church, the lost in need of the Gospel, and most importantly Himself.  Many opportunities to serve, both planned and unplanned, present themselves for one looking to be a blessing and serve as the Savior did. From helping to care for and maintain the building and grounds, to visiting with and praying for the people, to community outreaches there is a place of service for those willing to be used.

Special Events:

At times throughout the year the church holds special events not a part of our regularly scheduled activities. These can include special community outreach, participating in community parades or events like the fair, Vacation Bible Schools, Fellowship activities, or special conference speakers. We will try to keep these events up to date on our calender so the community can be made aware.
